Arlene's federal service career began as an Inventory Manager at Kelly Air Force Base (AFB) managing F15/F16 aircraft parts and space programs fuels for the Department of Defense (DOD) and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). When Kelly AFB was slated for closure, Arlene pursued a career opportunity with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), where she served in several key roles. After dedicating 33 years to a distinguished career in various agencies of the Department of Defense, Arlene retired in 2022.
She enjoys traveling, reading, and pursuing new adventures through community service. Arlene has volunteered intermittently with the San Antonio Food Bank, preparing meals for children’s after-school programs, served as an active member of her HOA Architectural Control Committee since 2024, and provided administrative support to the American Red Cross – Greater San Antonio Chapter since November 2025. She has been a member of the League of Women Voters – San Antonio since April 2025, participating on its Program & Advocacy Committee.
Arlene’s extensive career experience and steadfast commitment to community engagement has prepared her well to serve our League’s Board of Directors as its Director at Large in charge of Organization.
